You serve a God who is moved by your tears. Right now, in this very moment, He wants you to know that He keeps track of every teardrop.

Too often we judge relationship with God by our human relationships. If we become emotional, someone may find it inappropriate. Someone might tell you to “man up” or get over it. People may be turned off or scared away by your expression of feeling because you’re being too “deep” or intense.

This is not so with God. He wants you to know, whether male or female, whether your problem is big or small, or even if you feel you are the problem, you can let it out with Him. Bring Him your tears. He is the ultimate Comforter. He understands your pain like no one else can. After you release your thoughts and emotions with Him, just be still. Lay back in His Arms and let Him bring healing to your heart. In the quiet moments He will minister to You and speak life over You. He will show You what do next.

Bring Him your tears. Ask Him for help. He is a loving Father who cares about the things that concern you. He will hold You and give you what you need to make it better.

Be encouraged today!

2 Kings 20:1-5 (New International Version)

1 In those days Hezekiah became ill and was at the point of death. The prophet Isaiah son of Amoz went to him and said, “This is what the LORD says: Put your house in order, because you are going to die; you will not recover.”

2 Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to the LORD, 3 “Remember, O LORD, how I have walked before you faithfully and with wholehearted devotion and have done what is good in your eyes.” And Hezekiah wept bitterly.

4 Before Isaiah had left the middle court, the word of the LORD came to him: 5 “Go back and tell Hezekiah, the leader of my people, ‘This is what the LORD, the God of your father David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will heal you. On the third day from now you will go up to the temple of the LORD.

1 Peter 5:7 (Amplified Bible)

7Casting the whole of your care (all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all) on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.

Family wrapped in blanket

Life sometimes brings us situations that we feel totally unprepared for. It almost seems impossible to bear and we wonder how we will get through it. There have been times when I wished it would all just stop so I could catch my breath before I took another step.

Thankfully life didn’t stop, but peace and healing came from the Lord. The more I looked to Him, the more I recognized His healing touch, His warm embrace and His soothing voice telling me that He’s got me. Because of God’s faithfulness I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that “weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.”

My sadness is only for a season, it says so in His Word. I may be going through today, but I know the day will come when I will smile from my heart again. He never leaves me or forsakes me, so I don’t even have to go through this alone. I can hold His Hand, I can seek His Face, I can rest in His Arms.

Whatever it is that you are dealing with today,  no matter what the situation is, He is there to help you. He will give you the capacity to deal with it and bring resolution to the situation better than you could on your own. Trust Him, lean on Him, for He is Faithful.

Psalm 57:10 (New International Version)

10 For great is your love, reaching to the heavens;
your faithfulness reaches to the skies.

Michael Jackson album covers from over the years

Michael Jackson, the legendary King of Pop passed away yesterday leaving the world to mourn his loss. His talent was such an amazing gift that has inspired and influenced generations of  artists after him. Still, there is no one quite like MJ.

His life was marked by great success as well as great controversy. For as many people who are missing him today, unfortunately there are also many who are sneering and judging him.

Jesus warned against judging others, saying that while you point out the speck of sawdust in someone else’s eye you miss the plank in your own eye (Matt 7:2-4 NIV)!

Not one of us is perfect and therefore no one is in a position to judge. You may judge others because you feel powerless and alone when it comes to your own issues. However, you are not alone. God knows that sometimes our lives and the decisions we make are formed out of deep pain and brokenness. God’s desire is for you to be whole. Love and healing are available to all through Jesus Christ!

Since tomorrow is not promised, get help for the broken places in your life and surrender to God today. Rather than scorn others for their flaws, search your own heart and discover where you can make improvements.

I pray that you would look at Michael Jackson’s life and be inspired to use your God-given gifts to change the world. More importantly, I pray that you would be inspired to get to know the Creator, the One who placed those gifts within you and let Him make your life beautiful from the inside out.

John 10:9-11 (New King James Version)

I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. 10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. 11 “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.”

Padlock

As we go throughout life, we collect experiences, joy, pain, disappointments, victories, defeats and everything else that goes along with being human. Some of the painful things that we go through, we tend to keep locked away, hidden deep within our hearts.

People around you may not realize how often you refer to those hidden hurts. You may not form any new relationships without first comparing them to that secret person you hold dear. You may not trust anyone because of that secret incident that you vowed to never let happen again. You may be dealing with a secret issue and fear that if anyone knew about it you would be judged and isolated for life. You could be smiling on the outside but secretly want to knock somebody out!

We pack these things away, lock them up and make ourselves believe that we will throw away the key, but instead we daily unlock the trunk, pull out the contents and review what is inside so that we can defend ourselves from any possible new threats.

You could spend so much time focusing on the locked away secrets from your past that they never truly become the past. By constantly reliving the events, the shame and all the other negative emotions you miss out on precious new experiences.

Why not bring the trunk and all of its contents to God? He already knows what is in there. He was there with you through it all and He wants to take that burden away from you. Talk to Him about what those things mean to you. Ask Him to heal the pain associated with every item. If you really want to break free, but it seems too difficult, don’t hesitate to seek help. There is nothing new under the sun that a qualified minister or therapist could not help you with.

Unlock the pain before God and Live!

Romans 8:26-28 (New International Version)

26In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. 27And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God’s will. 28And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him,who have been called according to his purpose.

Cloud of witnesses cheering you on=

God has a Plan for Your life. Do you believe that? Do you believe that He can use you to reach others and change lives? Do you believe you can be happy and fulfilled? Sometimes we look at our present circumstances and past influences and find it hard to believe that something beautiful could be produced in such seeming chaos. However, from chaos I believe the Lord receives His greatest Glory.

Job was a man who loved God and yet his faith was tested far beyond what seemed fair. Somehow in the midst of pain, sorrow and destitution, Job was able to testify that no matter what, God could accomplish whatever it was that He intended.

This encourages me as I look at my own life, which has at times been full of chaos, mistakes and rebellion. I pray that in spite of me, God’s will be done and His purpose for my life be accomplished.

Speak to your life today and say:

Job 42:2 (New King James Version)

I know that You can do everything,
And that no purpose of Yours can be withheld from You.”
